A Second Attempt

I set up my first blog page in early October. Two months on, I should probably give reasons why it stayed blank so long (so long, indeed, that it self-expired – this being a second attempt and a new blog address). My reasons lie somewhere between laziness and perfectionism. Also, I live in a small village in the Thar Desert, Rajasthan, without access to the Internet.

In fact, that is what I want to write about here – my experience of life in an Indian village. I hope to explain – for those that were wondering – why I decided to stay on past my original flight in mid-October.

When I first made the decision to stay, I re-scheduled my return flight to December 1st; and I have now re-re-scheduled it to 30th March…

Here I hope to record the experience of eight months in rural India.
